Thank you to Lottie

Charlotte Edwards announced her retirement from international cricket last Wednesday 11th May. Here are some of her outstanding statistics.

Lottie made her international debut in 1996, and has made more appearances than any other female cricketer in the history of the game.

With 5,992 runs, Charlotte is the current all-time leading ODI run-scorer in women’s cricket, and has scored more T20I runs than any other player in the world (male or female).

Appointed England captain in 2006, Lottie led her country on 220 occasions, winning the ICC Women’s World Cup, ICC World Twenty20 and the Women’s Ashes three times.

In 2008 she won the ICC Women’s Player of the Year award, and during 2014 was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

One of the most successful England captains ever, Lottie will definitely be missed. Thanks for the memories Lottie, all the best for the future.
