Cricket Magazine The Cricketer are delighted to invite you to their next live event, in the company of Ashes legend Bob Willis.

Do you fancy joining The Cricketer Live then in London on Thursday November 2 for an evening of discussion, insight and laughter in the company of the great fast bowler, former England captain and Sky pundit, as he looks back at his career and gives his verdict on the state of the current game, and prospects for the forthcoming Ashes series.

Do join them for what should be a wonderful evening, quizzing Bob on:

  • His long and storied career, including the famous 1981 turnaround at Headingley, and what it was like captaining England Down Under in 1982/3
  • His thoughts on the forthcoming Ashes series. How does he think Joe Root’s side are shaping up for the toughest tour in cricket?
  • Who are his greatest friends in cricket, and who did he most enjoy playing with and against for England, Surrey and Warwickshire?
  • His role as analyst-in-chief on The Verdict highlights show for Sky Sports

This event will be particularly special as it will also act as the launch party for their new book, The Cricketer Anthology of the Ashes, which is being published on Friday 3rd November. This wonderful book charts the history of the greatest rivalry in sport through archive material from the magazine, as well as new contributions from Gideon Haigh, Simon Hughes and Huw Turbervill. The book will retail at £20, and signed copies will be available on the night or can be included in your ticket price for an additional £10.
